The above reference, at page 113, lists the serial numbers of 11 Canadian 1911-A1 pistols including one very close to this example SN 935296. A scarce Canadian military pistol that is being offered for sale for the first time since the 1970's. All were in the serial range 927000 to 940,000. This piece is a part of a Quebec collection from the 1970's and may have come from the small group of Colts sold by Crown Assets in 1959. The finish show the hardened front end of the slide (darker nose). The barrel shows 95% of its Colt original blue.
